This meeting was a real test of the so called back-bone of this family; weak but supportive.
We must move beyound Name Reconiction, Dates and Cost disputes; and move on to more importiant issues such as Tee-Shirts and Fundraisers an Activites.

The saying goes "We are family"(but are we truly a family) or, these are just words?
The damage to the family over the years has had it's told on each individual member. I'm reminded of the song "No one told me that the road would not be easy. We have to work at becoming good family stewards. Faith with-out work is dead.So let's keep the family dream alive.

Dear Family,

Greeting and Blessings from Canton The City of Lights, home town of Chambers Family Reunion Committee. The Canton Committee is very excited to be hosting the 2011 Chambers reunion - “A Family Affair”

This letter is to determine the interest in this reunion. We are trying to pull together all of the branches of the family, Canton, Jackson, Mississippi, Chicago, Illinois and all points east and west, north and south. We are encouraged by the initial interest, but need your immediate input for Committee members and volunteers. The committee will proceed with some initial planning but the direction is yet to be determined.
